The Redmond Police Department received a call at approximately
1:30 p.m. about a robbery at Bank of America at 2245 Bel-Red Road.
According to witnesses, the suspect ran into the building from the
west door yelling for everyone to get down on the floor. The suspect
then jumped over the counter at the merchant window and began taking
an undetermined amount of cash from several teller drawers. He then
jumped over the counter, left the building, and fled through the
parking lot on foot in a southwest direction.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’6” to
5’8” tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a dark blue or black
hooded sweatshirt, a black mask covering everything except his eyes,
and dark colored jeans. The suspect was believed to have blond or
light brown eyebrows and a witness described him as having a
“runner’s build.” There was no vehicle seen in the bank parking lot
believed to be the suspect’s and he did not display or imply that he
was carrying a weapon. There were no injuries during the robbery
The incident is still being investigated by Redmond Police and
the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
