Project Location: Education Hill

The City has plans to renovate dirt jumps used by bicyclists on public property adjacent to Hartman Park. The City worked with community members on the design during a public planning process between 2009 and 2010. In June, a group of Redmond citizens appealed the City's permit (called Site Plan Entitlement) and SEPA determination. A public hearing will be scheduled before a hearings examiner in September or October at Redmond City Hall for the appeal. The hearing examiner's decision on the Site Plan Entitlement decision can be appealed to City Council in a closed hearing, meaning no new information can be brought forward. The hearings examiner's decision on the SEPA determination and the Council's decision on the Site Plan Entitlement appeal can be appealed to King County Superior Court.
