We offer sports programs for people with developmental disabilities ages 8 and older. Athletes enrolled in this program participate in practice twice a week, practice games with local city teams, and the possibility of regional tournaments. Practice consists of warm-ups, sport specific drills and games, and various team-building exercises. This program does not stress winning, but instead it focuses on the importance of positive attitudes, teamwork, and most importantly having fun in the process.
During the summer, 7 weeks of camp are offered for participants with developmental disabilities ages 13 years and older. Each week has a different theme such as; Safari Adventures. The theme will be highlighted by crafts, games, and a field trip to a local attraction like the zoo. The participants will also go swimming at the lake once a week as long as it is not raining! Camps run Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm.
