Adult Beginning Horsemanship Workshop (Ages 18+)

For the adult, first time or rusty' rider. A wonderful intro to our adult horsemanship programs, this one-time class will teach or remind you about the freedom of horseback riding! Choose either English or Western riding techniques. Class meets four times for 2 hours OR eight times for 1 hour.

Adult Basic Horsemanship 101 (Ages 18+)

Designed specifically for the adult who has always wanted a horse or wants to return to something they did in their youth. This program will teach the basics of all-around horsemanship including safety, grooming, handling, nutrition, health maintenance. English or Western tacking, and riding techniques. Class meets four times for 2 hours OR eight times for 1 hour.

Adult Horsemanship Intermediate (Ages 18+)

This class is designed for the adult horse enthusiast who has completed our Basic Horsemanship 101 program or has recent equestrian experience. We will build on your basic foundation of all-around horsemanship including safety, grooming, handling, nutrition, health maintenance. English and Western tacking and riding techniques. This is a chance to further your knowledge and enjoy the world of horses! Class meets for 8 lesson hours total.

On-Going Intermediate Adult Horsemanship Series (Ages 18+)

This class is designed for the adult horse enthusiast who has completed our Basic Horsemanship 101 program or has recent equestrian experience. This program is ongoing, offered each Friday for 4-week sessions through the Winter quarter. We will build on your basic foundation of all-around horsemanship including safety, grooming, handling, nutrition, health maintenance, English and Western tacking and riding techniques. Each student will have their own horse for 4 lesson hours per month. Sign up for one month or all four months! Class meets one hour for four weeks.

Yoga on Horseback

What could be better then horses and yoga? Come discover the dynamic parallels between yoga and horseback riding. Work on building a better awareness of self and your new equine companion. We'll explore the link between yoga and riding to improve not only your riding skills, but also your overall well-being. Through yoga poses and breathing techniques we will learn how to improve balance and body alignment. Experience the union of body, mind, spirit and horse. Prior riding experience or our Adult Beginning Horsemanship Workshop or 101 class is required. Participants weight and height are restricted up to 180 pounds and 6'0 tall.

Riding Programs for Parent/Child

Preschool Pony Pal

This class is designed for the preschool-age child 2-5 years old and parent and meets twice for 45 minutes each. There are only two students per class which features safety, grooming, and a short trail ride.

Parent/Child Pony Workshops

Designed for the first time rider 4+ years and parent and meets once for one hour. Two parent/child groups are assigned to a pony. Safety, grooming, and riding techniques are introduced.

Parent-Child Horsemanship Workshop (Ages 7+ child)

Now offered by popular demand! A truly unique class that allows you to spend quality time with your child and enjoy learning about the basics of horsemanship. Small class size; limit one child per parent. Class meets two times for 2 hours.
