Public Meetings

The Redmond-Woodinville Road Corridor Study is now complete.  The following information provides an account of the public process to date.

City Council Meeting on April 15, 2008

Planning and Public Works Committee Meeting on March 13, 2008
City staff met with the City Council's Planning and Public Works Committee on March 13.  Jeanne Justice, Project Manager with Public Works/Transportation Services, presented alternatives for the intersection of Redmond-Woodinville Road/154 Place NE/NE 109 Street:

The alternatives minimize impacts to properties along the western edge of 154 Place NE for both the 3-lane and 5-lane configuration of Redmond-Woodinville Road.  Impacts to properties in the vicinity of the intersection were described for all scenarios.

The attending members of the Council voiced support for utilizing the standard right-of-way and easement area, for staff to continue the study efforts including the Wedge sub-area plan update, and to schedule an additional session with the full Council to present the information regarding the Redmond-Woodinville Road corridor.  (That session took place on Tuesday, April 15.)

The committee did not express a preference towards a 3 or 5-lane configuration.

To provide update to the larger community, staff is currently producing a newsletter for email and regular mail distribution.  Residents who wish to provide comments may continue to send their thoughts to staff and the City Council, as well as through "Items from the Audience" at City Council business meetings.
