May 2006 Following the public
meeting held on May 30, staff returned to the City Council on June 6
with preferred alternatives for NE 85 Street and 164 Avenue NE.
Council approved moving forward with final design of the NE 85 Street
project and with continuing coordination with the Washington State
Department of Transportation on 164 Avenue NE.

At the end of March, approximately 30 Redmond residents and business
owners attended a public meeting held at City Hall to hear the City's
proposal to convert two downtown streets from four lanes to three - NE
85 Street between 154 and 166 Avenue NE and 164 Avenue NE between
Cleveland and NE 87 Street.

of how sections along that roadway may be rechannelized:

Community input is an important part of any roadway conversion
