The Redmond Arts Commission's City of Redmond Arts Awards recognize outstanding contributions to the arts in Redmond by a person or organization. We welcome nominations of artists, volunteers, philanthropists, organizations, and others who have contributed to creating Redmond as a City that promotes the arts. Paula Ferguson
Paula has been instrumental in building the thriving orchestra programs at Redmond High School, Redmond Junior High, and Evergreen Junior High. In 2009, she auditioned and won an opportunity for the Redmond High School orchestra to go to Carnegie Hall. Just recently, she led 400 musicians in String Jam ’10 where they established the Guinness World’s Record for the largest string ensemble.

Nancy McKay Teacher Nancy McKay
The Orchestra and Choir Teacher from Rockwell Elementary School, Nancy started teaching orchestra 15 years ago with 14 students. She now has 110 students and her former students recently performed in Carnegie Hall.

Redwood Theatre Redwood Theatre
This community theater has produced over 70 plays since 1984. Performing in the Redmond Senior Center, their work has received both critical and popular acclaim.
